Apache/ April 1961 / Jorgan Ingmann / #2 BB

Mother-In-Law / May 1961 / Ernie K-Doe / #2 BB
I loved this song, he was from New Orleans and left us in 2001.
Daddy’s Home / May 1961 / Shep and the Limlites / #2 BB
OK, James “Shep” Sheppard wrote Daddy’s Home, but also wrote “A Thousand Miles Away” which to me is the same song. The Heartbeats recorded it in 1957, lots of law suits on this one.
Heart and Soul / June 1961 / The Cleftones / #18 BB
From Queens NY, the song in 1956 “Little Girl of Mine” is my favourite. For more information about the Cleftones, see this post: https://strathdee.wordpress.com/2011/01/15/the-cleftones/

A great song, not so his like, he went to prison in 1968 for Statutory Rape, 3 years and died in 1976 of a Heart Attack.
Last Night / August 1961 / The Mar-Keys / #3 BB
Great Song. For more information about the Mar-Keys, see this post: https://strathdee.wordpress.com/2010/11/19/the-mar-keys/
Pretty Little Angel Eyes / August 1961 / Curtis Lee / #7 BB
Well I liked this song and it was produced by this guy, the best https://strathdee.wordpress.com/2010/09/05/phil%C2%A0spector/ I do not agree he was a one hit guy, but Billboard says so. Curtis was from Yuma AZ and Under the Moon of Love peaked at # 46, so you be the judge.

Boy did I have the “Hots” for this woman: https://strathdee.wordpress.com/2010/10/16/ann-margaret/
