A-Z Billboard Singles – Letter C

Gary: I have decided to go through one book from A to Z and write about all of the songs and artist’s that only made the Billboard Top 40 “Once”.  The authority will be Joel Whitburn’s Top 40 hits 1955 to 2000 7th Edition.

624660-M

Now being as old as I am you know I will not go much further than the 70’s, Sorry.

Some of the Billboard listings just did not fit in our blog and if they were your favourites, sorry I just could not list every one as there are 26 letters in the alphabet and I’m not getting any younger and I have just started
So this will be easy because we will only do the letter
C

  1. Great idea to go through the alphabet!

Always loved “Rhythm of the Rain” by the Cascades, with its stair-step melody.

My band (the Morning) opened for Cat Mother — a fun band — at the Night Owl Cafe in Greenwich Village in the summer of 1967. Both bands were a fixture of the Village that summer.

  2. Love the music AND some great videos.

  3. I’m surprised at how many of these I still remember. Great Idea 🙂

  4. Must have been strange to call themselves The Chartbusters and end up with one single hit 😉
