A-Z Billboard Singles – Letter M

Gary: This is the largest post in the A to Z series, so far.

Lost a long-time relative and friend this week, my Uncle.  He was more like a brother, we were the same age for three months of the year and then he was one year older, or the oldest, RIP Leo.

I am back at looking at the one hits via Billboard  and Joel Whitburn’s publication:
So here we go with the letter

  1. Jimmy McGriff… theres a name from the past, one of the greats. That cut gave me goosebumps. Wow !

  2. Hey Guys, Great “M” file…but no Martels!!!

Just a quick correction you may want to make-

Tommy McLain may have gotten sweaty in his dreams but it was Sweet Dreams for a spelling correction.  Cheers, Linda

    • Hi Linda
You’re too funny: “Tommy McLain may have gotten sweaty in his dreams…” – I’ve heard of sweat dreams. We’ll make the correction. Thank you for your very astute observation about the spelling.
